XENOFON BITSIKAS

Xenophon Bitsikas (1963) is an artist and Professor at the Department of Fine Arts and Art Sciences of the University of Ioannina. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, with teachers such as Demosthenes Kokkinidis in painting and Marina Lambraki-Plaka in theory. He conducted his postgraduate and doctorate studies at the Facultad de Bellas Artes of the Universidad Complutense, under the supervision of Prof. Marina Lambraki-Plaka. He has been awarded in national and international painting competitions and has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

His works are in the collections of the National Gallery, the Fundacio Ynglada Guillot, Real Academia de Bellas Artes San Jordi in Barcelona, ​​the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art Thessaloniki, the Spyropoulos Museum, the Vorre Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Modern Art in Athens and Frysira S. Feliou Collection, Athens.
